Scrub Growers Ltd was contracted by the landowner to implement the recommendations of a Pest Management Plan prepared for 60ha of native forest being legally protected to enable a rural-residential subdivision of the property. Weed control work involved the poisoning of all pine scattered throughout the ridges/ sidling’s in the bush area. Animal pest control involved an initial knockdown of numbers using a pre-feed and then Feracol, followed by the establishment and ongoing running of 12 bait stations lines with a total of 90 stations using Brodifacoum.
